REGISTRATION CLOSED (1 July 2010)
Registration is now closed. As at 29 June 2010, 710 exscholars of Suva Grammar School have registered their interest to be an official member of the SGS Exscholars Association and be part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations on 24-31 July 2010. Only those who have registered will be able to purchase tickets for the Black Tie Event (BTE). If you have not done so already, those who have registered are requested to:

(1) Pay the required registration fee to the nominated ANZ Bank Account;
(2) Send through a picture to exsgsweb@gmail.com for the identity card; and
(3) Purchase the BTE ticket before 9 July 2010.

'BLACK TIE EVENT' CLOSES 30 JUNE 2010 (27 June 2010)
Sales of tickets to attend the most talked about event in Suva will close on 30 June 2010. The Black Tie Event or The Ball will close the week long Jubilee celebrations and it will be at the Vodafone Arena (Suva) on 31 July 2010. To be part of this, make sure you buy your ticket before the closing date. Why a closing date? The Jubilee Committee needs to confirm numbers and make sure that arrangments (eg. catering, venue layout etc) are all in place sop you can enjoy the night. So what are you waiting for, either pay online or contact an Executive Committee member for a ticket. Remember you need to register first to be able to purchase a ticket.

Registration for the Jubilee Celebrations closes on Wednesday, 30 June 2010. Don't miss out on being part of this event which happens only once. So Register on line (go to Jubilee Registration page) and pay the required F$30 registration fee. Account details can be found on the same page. 

Nite out with the 80s (20 June 2010)
Wednesday 28 July 2010 is the day dedicated to the 80s Decade Day. For the Jubilee celebrations, the 80s Committee have organised a Tree-Top Zipping as their day event. All are welcome to participate (refer to Jubilee Calendar of Events page for more details). For their  night event, they are organising a Cocktail Nite at the Museum. Tickets for the cocktail night are now on sale.

Ticket price: F$20 per ticket
Time: 5:30 - 10:30pm (free drinks for the first hour)
Venue: Fiji Museum

REGISTRATION UPDATE AND DEADLINE (20 June 2010)
Todate, 598 exscholars have registered. Breakdown of registered exscholars is shown in the table below.

All exscholars intending to attend the Jubilee celebrations must register. Deadline for Registration, payment of registration and submission of recent passport photo is 30th JUNE 2010.  

Account, registration form, contact details and other information is on the Jubilee Registration page. We also strongly encourage that payments for the Black Tie Event tickets as well as the decade activities be completed by 30th June. This will help the Committees better organise the Jubilee  events .   

• FJ$30.00 - for ALL exscholars irrespective of which and how many events you attend. This covers the annual membership fee, identity card, access to the Fiji Club & its facilities and souvenir items.
• FJ$15.00 - for non-exscholars (ie. partners & spouses of exscholars). This fee is only required if the non-exscholar wants the same privileges as exscholars and have access to the Fiji Club & its facilities during the jubilee week.  

The Fiji Club in Suva will be the base for the SGSESA Secretariat during the week. Only those registered and with identity cards will be allowed entry to the Fiji Club and the use of all its facilities. 

The Black Tie Event tickets can only be purchased if you have registered and paid the required fee.

SGS ExStudents Association goes Facebook (18 June 2010)
SGSESA has created a profile on Facebook to inform exscholars on events leading up to the Golden Jubilee Events and provide regular update during the celebrations week. Together with this website and other links, the SGSESA hopes to reach out to as many exscholars as possible.  The SGSESA Facebook profile is SGS Golden Jubilee

GRAMMARIAN special edition (17 June 2010)
To commemorate the Golden Jubilee event, a special edition of the Grammarian is being put together by our very own Sophie Foster. This will be released during the Jubilee celebrations in July 2010. Sophie needs more photos for this once in a life time edition. If you have pictures during your days in SGS and wish to include in the magazine, send them to exsgsweb@gmail.com and we will forward it to Sophie. Be sure to add a caption for your pics !

BLACK TIE EVENT TICKETS  (16 June 2010)
Tickets for the Black Tie Event are now out on sale. Don't miss out on this up-coming and most talked about event. To get a ticket you can either: 

1. purchase from your representative(s) in the SGS Executive Committee (go to Committee Members page); or
2. deposit your BTE event ticket money into the Association account and the SGS ESA Committee will keep your tickets for collection during the Jubilee week.
